I am a new client, what is the process for scheduling care?
Prior to your first booking, I will ask you to complete my new client packet. This goes over any applicable allergies, medications, emergency contacts, and my policy agreement. Once this is completed, you are able to schedule care via text, email, or website inquiry through the 'Contact' page. You can find my openings on the 'Availability' page - any days/times that do not have scheduled events are available to be booked!

How many children are you able to care for at one time? Do you offer nanny-share services?
I'm available to care for up to 5 children at a time. I do offer nanny share services; these rates are 3/4 of my standard hourly for each family. An example of this would be two separate, on-call families with one child ($30/hr); in which case each family would pay $22.50/hr for hours worked.

I have two children but one will only be home for a portion of the day, will this fall under your one or two-child rate?
This would fall under my two-child rate (full-time nannying) as my rates are set per family, not per child present at a given time. This encompasses all child-related tasks (cleaning, laundry, pick-ups, school sick or closure days, etc.) and prevents confusion surrounding changing rates. For on-call care, the number of children in my care dictates the rate.

What precautions are you taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19?
I am fully vaccinated (including boosters) and follow all CDC protocols. I am taking the pandemic very seriously, and do everything in my power to keep myself healthy, as well as the families I care for. Feel free to contact me if you have any specific questions regarding my COVID-19 safety.

What is your sick child policy?
As a childcare provider, I understand that germs happen. For my part-time/occasional clients I do provide care for sick children with a few exceptions. I do not provide care for children who are throwing up, have a temperature above 100.5°F, have been diagnosed with a contagious disease (until 48 hours on antibiotics), or are presenting with COVID-19 symptoms. I do this to ensure both my health and the health of the other families I provide care for. For my full-time clients, I provide sick care with the exception of Hand, Foot, & Mouth, pink eye, and COVID-19.

What is your cancellation policy?
If your care needs change, I ask that you give notice as soon as possible. For changes or cancellations made with 48 hours' notice, I do not charge any fees. For changes or cancellations made with 24-47 hours' notice, I charge a fee of 50% of the day pay amount to compensate for the reserved time slot. For cancelations made with <24 hours' notice, I charge a 75% fee of the day pay amount to compensate for the reserved time slot. Any unpaid fees may result in no care provided in the future.

What exactly is travel care and how does it work?
Travel care, or vacation nannying, is a service provided where a childcare provider travels alongside the family to provide care in a location that is not the family's home. This service can help alleviate stress associated with traveling with a child and can allow for a more flexible, enjoyable trip. For travel nannying, there is a fee of $100/day in addition to the standard hourly rate for all working hours (including travel time). The IRS mileage reimbursement rate applies for all distances traveled. While travel care requires a bit more notice than standard, in-home care, it can prove to be very helpful for parents who have their hands full! Please contact me for more information.

What areas do you service? What are your prices and minimum time limits?
I provide service to the Tampa Bay area and locations within a 15-mile radius of Seminole Heights. Care may be provided outside of this radius with applicable mileage. I do require bookings to be a minimum of 4 hours, and my prices are available to view on the 'Services & Rates' page along with more information. Please reach out for quotes for care that falls outside of this radius.

Do you provide services other than babysitting/nannying?
Yes! I also provide child transportation services (families are required to provide appropriate safety equipment and car seats), light-to-moderate household cleaning, and household manager tasks. These services can be added to preexisting care or otherwise, please inquire about rates.

Am I able to receive a quote prior to scheduled care?

Absolutely! Tentative invoices can be provided upon request.

Am I able to schedule an interview or meet-and-greet?
Of course! I understand that most parents would like to do their due diligence prior to inviting a new person into their home. I can be available to meet via phone call, video call (FaceTime or Zoom), or in-person depending on personal preference and/or availability. Please reach out to set up a meeting with me, I look forward to hearing from you!
